Administrative Assistant Position
Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack is hiring an Administrative Assistant at the Sweeten Creek location. This position is a key part of our operations team. You will report to the General Manager and the Controller of the company. You will be working with all the team members at this location in a support role. Your demeanor must convey a positive attitude and you must be approachable by all team members. You must be comfortable working with a diverse group of people and have great communication skills. This role requires a high degree of organizational ability and attention to detail. You will be expected to always handle staff issues with respect, discretion and compassion and be comfortable working as part of a cohesive team. Some of your responsibilities will be store specific and some will be driven by regional policies.
You must be able to multi-task and have the ability to work independently as a self-starter. You must be dependable and have great attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize tasks in the moment. This position will require confidentiality, good judgement and discretion. This is the perfect role for someone who wants a set schedule and has the desire to grow with our company.
This position will require that you spend time sitting, standing, and lots of time interacting with others. You must be able to lift 20 pounds. A restaurant background is a definite plus, as is Accounting and Human Resources experience. You must have highly effective computer skills with a strong understanding of Microsoft suite and Excel.
Responsibilities include:
Daily cash up procedures
Review and confirm daily sales
Copy, organize and submit invoices daily
Enter all employee meal and comp tickets. Alert Controller of trends.
Update contact list for new hires
Update retail counts through inventory management
Manage employment applications with urgency and follow through
Assist in candidate screening, scheduling of interviews and pursuing candidate references
Assist with orientation/onboarding of new hires
Have complete knowledge of our policies and procedures.
Repair & Maintenance scheduling and oversight
Follow up with new hire paperwork and documentation of training procedures
Receiving, managing and delivering of catering orders
