Position Title

Adjunct Instructor - Studio Art

Job Duties

Job responsibilities include teaching studio courses (including 2D Design, Drawing, and 3D Design) to a diverse student body. The instructor would educate students in an in-person studio environment, while also maintaining supplementary materials and a gradebook on Canvas. The instructor should collaborate with the Art faculty, Ed Tech, and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success, including adhering to all college policies, standards, and deadlines (e.g., grading, attendance. This is a part-time faculty position, and the instructor could teach from one to three classes. Continued adjunct teaching is a possibility pending evaluation. Continued employment is contingent on adequate enrollment. Classes are assigned based on seniority, but teachers' preferences are considered.

Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

Teaching experience is preferred.

Required experience

18 hours of graduate level credit hours in Visual Arts (Studio, Art History, Art Education)

Required educational background

The successful candidate should have a master's degree in visual arts or a related visual arts discipline.
