This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional educator in ballet, hip hop, Pilates, yoga or body conditioning to teach dance majors in one of the top dance programs in the country. The dance program offers a BFA and MFA in Dance, with emphasis on both performance and choreography.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teach all levels of studio courses in one or more forms of ballet, hip hop, Pilates, yoga or body conditioning.
  • Maintain an active professional profile.
  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
Minimum Qualifications
  • MFA or MA in Dance or equivalent professional credentials or certification.
  • Regional or National profile and record of professional accomplishments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in choreography/composition at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Experience in effectively utilizing technology.
  • Experience with choreographing new work.
  • Experience in contributing to dance related academic courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Strong pedagogical, organizational, and interpersonal communication experience.
