The Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism is an ACEJMC-accredited school with the only professionally accredited journalism master\'s program in the four-state region of Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. The school is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, in one of the largest media markets in the country. We offer journalism classes in public relations, advertising, print/digital, broadcast/digital, and photojournalism. The Mayborn enrolls approximately 1,000 undergraduate students and 75 graduate students. Graduates have won many national and international awards, including Pulitzer Prizes. The school offers students multi-platform professional opportunities including the award-winning North Texas Daily student newspaper, Denton Public Access TV, and student-run photography and ad/PR agencies. The school also hosts the annual Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference, the nationally acclaimed conference for aspiring and experienced writers, journalists and authors.
Position Summary

The Department of Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Advertising and Public Relations experience.
Master\'s degree in journalism or related field.
