Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Addiction Counselor (SUDP/T) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in addiction counseling and behavioral health, with the ability to provide comprehensive support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. The Addiction Counselor will work collaboratively with clients, families, and other professionals to promote recovery and improve overall mental health.

Duties



Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine treatment needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client goals and progress. Provide individual and group counseling utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Facilitate crisis intervention and management strategies to support clients in acute situations. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment updates in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including case management services. Engage in research activities related to addiction medicine and behavioral health trends. Provide education on addiction issues, coping strategies, and relapse prevention techniques. Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards while handling medical records.

Requirements



Strong skills in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling techniques. Knowledge of data collection methods for patient assessments and treatment outcomes. Pay: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
