About the role:
The ACURATE Clinical Expert will provide primary device training and related technical, clinical and procedural educational to qualified physicians utilizing the BSC Structural heart valves portfolio. They will lead case preparation and device guidance in hospital and with physicians new to the BSC SHV portfolio. Additionally, they will lead educational needs assessment, procedural optimization education and evaluation to achieve optimal device performance and patient outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the site selection and lead training and qualification processes for physicians utilizing BSCs SHV device portfolio.
  • Key contact with the local BSC team, physicians and the multi-disciplinary team during the patient screening and selection to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective training and optimum device and procedural satisfaction.
  • Manage procedural and training documentation, adverse events reporting, source data collection and analysis, CT and echocardiographic images, technical case evaluations etc.
  • Champion patient centric clinical outcomes
  • Evaluates training effectiveness and owns decision on approvals
  • Identifies opportunities for continual improvement
  • Supports company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Clinical Practices and regulatory agencies regulations.
  • Educate and train physicians primarily thru leading and guiding case-based experiences in cath labs after appropriate patient selection, case planning and review of training material.
  • Also train hospital personnel and hospital staff on technical matters relating to company products by conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one training sessions, in-service education programs, simulations, seminars, case reviews and/or outside symposiums.
  • Technical expert on device performance and optimization
  • Technical expert on procedural steps and troubleshooting
  • Supervise device preparation and evaluate local case device prep support effectiveness
  • Monitor trends and analysis in peri-procedural data (images, steps of device delivery and performance, operators\' feedback, etc.), enabling close monitoring of the device performance and procedural enhancement.
  • Work closely with BSC R&D engineers, participating in regular on-site training on the design implementation of the device, as well as any changes related to the design, procedure or patient selection. Communicate design changes and best practice to the field as appropriate.
Required qualifications:
  • Minimum of an associate\'s degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of TAVR experience
  • Ability to travel up to 70%
  • Proven ability to influence without authority
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • Technical skills they can learn but are preferred to hit the ground running (Ex: Experience with CT/MRI image processing software)
