Activity Assistant - Memory Care

Full-Time (40 hours/week), Must be available for weekends, evenings, and flexible hours

We are currently seeking a dedicated and creative

Activity Assistant

to support the Memory Care Activity Director in providing meaningful engagement for our residents in a warm and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing group and individual activities tailored to residents in our 35-Apartment Memory Care Neighborhood. Encourage resident participation and promote socialization, cognitive engagement, and emotional well-being. Assist with outings and special events to enrich residents' lives. Prepare and arrange common areas for activities; ensure supplies and materials are ready and areas are clean and inviting. Decorate the memory care neighborhood for holidays, seasonal events, and themed programs. Collaborate with the Memory Care Activity Director and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Administrator.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience working with older adults, preferably in an activity or memory care setting. Compassionate, energetic, and creative with a genuine interest in working with individuals with dementia. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
