SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Activity Coordinator in creating innovative programming for residents in Crown Center on a monthly basis
Implements programs within Crown Center and Greenwood
Complete daily documentation on all residents
Complete assigned one to one visits
Room set-ups, as necessary
Distribute daily happenings to residents
Daily and Monthly tasks, as assigned
Performance of other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English Language
Prefer one with high school diploma and some college experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION:
CPR Certification preferred
First Aid Certification preferred
State Tested Nursing Assistant Certification preferred
EXPERIENCE:
1 year Activity experience in Long Term Care or Assisted Living setting preferred
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to provide adaptations for successful engagement for residents with physical and cognitive challenges
Good communication skills, must be able to demonstrate effective reading, writing, and oral skills
Must be a detailed oriented person and be able to perform duties with great accuracy
Competent in the Microsoft office package and Internet
Must be able to interface well with others in a positive and professional manner
Ability to work in a group setting or individually
Knowledge of disease processes and behaviors of the elderly
OTHER REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO ASSIGNED AREA:
Knowledge on proper body mechanics
Knowledge of proper techniques for transferring residents
Knowledge of proper techniques on securing wheelchairs in transportation vehicles
