Job Description

Fairview is looking for friendly, compassionate Activity Aides to join our team working directly with the residents and making a positive impact in their lives. Activity aides carry out activities as scheduled on the activity calendar, provide small group activities and one to one intervention as assigned.

We offer a generous PTO package.

This position shift are weekday shifts 3:30pm-8pm. Every other weekend shifts 4pm-8pm. (4.5-9 hours per pay period)

Job Purpose:

Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisor. To assist the resident to achieve/maintain their highest practicable level of independence.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain effective channels of communication and cooperation with other staff and departments to assure that resident services proceed smoothly and harmonious work environment is sustained.

2. Implement activity care plan to insure that optimal activity level is obtained for all residents.

3. Maintain practices to assure sanitation and safety standards are met. Maintain a well-ordered, clean, and neat activity area.

4. Carry out activities as scheduled based upon the activity calendar. Provide small group activities and one to one interventions as assigned.

5. Maintain confidentiality of resident information.

Job Requirements:

Have leadership qualities. Able to work independently, ability to communicate a variety of information to residents, family members, and other facility staff, ability to establish and maintain trust with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess at least tenth grade education. Must complete a MN Department of Human Services Criminal Background Check.

Fairview Care Center is owned by Dodge County and is located on the west edge of Dodge Center, MN. It is a 55 bed long term care facility which prides itself on high quality care and enriching the lives of those we serve. It is on nine acres of beautiful land and is surrounded by trees that are very inviting to birds and other wildlife.
