Check us out at https://sfsj.org Primary Purpose of Job: Under the leadership of the Director of Residential Services (or designee), the Activities Specialist is responsible for the implementation and planning of activities to meet the specific needs and interests of those individuals/residents who engage in recreational activities on SFSV campus. Also ensures that all activities have needed materials appropriately distributed to all the residential buildings. Essential Job Functions: \xc2\xb7 Plan and assists Residential Managers with weekly planned activities. \xc2\xb7 Work cooperatively, effectively and communicate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. \xc2\xb7 Distributes activity calendars and/or monthly activity calendars for all groups. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that staff have the necessary materials to implement activities, when necessary. \xc2\xb7 Maintain complete documentation/records of the individuals\xe2\x80\x99 participation outside of their building and the individual\xe2\x80\x99s response to the developed program and activities in accordance with our Agency\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures. \xc2\xb7 Understand and comply with safety policies and regulations for the individuals. \xc2\xb7 Plan and assist with various cultural events and outings in the community for residents. \xc2\xb7 Plan and assist the Residential Managers in planning for holidays and special events and seasonal celebrations as needed. \xc2\xb7 Plan and assists with activities to ensure adequate client participation/engagement is occurring.
