Job Summary

The Activities Director plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents at Gardens Care - Scottsdale. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing recreational activities that cater to the interests and needs of seniors, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a background in Assisted Living Life Enrichment, ensuring that all activities promote engagement and well-being among residents. Ideal Candidate has an upbeat positive outlook with a love for seniors.

Schedlue: Sunday - Thursday 8:00am -4:30pm with flexablity for events and holidays

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program tailored to the interests and abilities of our vibrant residents. Coordinate event planning for various social, educational, and recreational activities. Manage schedules to ensure a variety of engaging programs are available throughout the week. Create the monthly activity schedule. Collaborate with nursing staff to assess residents' needs and preferences for activity participation. Facilitate group activities that encourage social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Work closely with sales team to create outside events promoting our community. Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants during activities. Document participation and gather feedback to improve future programming. Provide training and support to staff volunteers assisting with activities. Will need to take pictures and videos of daily events to upload onto a google drive. Transport residents to appointments along with group outtings.

Requirements

Proven experience in senior care settings, particularly in assisted living environments. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and staff. Experience in dementia care is highly desirable. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs. A compassionate approach to care that fosters a positive atmosphere for all residents. Creativity in event planning to develop diverse programming that appeals to various interests. Working closely with Marketing to provide an exciting environment for current and prospective seniors. Creative and great positive energy creating a magical environment for our seniors. Driving Using Google G suite CDL license is prefered

Pay: $50,047.00 - $52,112.00 per year
