Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive resident engagement strategies that promote active participation, social connection, and overall well-being across all community programs and activities. Oversee the creation and management of personalized care plans that address residents' individual needs, including memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and other specialized services. Lead and supervise staff responsible for resident engagement, ensuring they deliver compassionate, high-quality care aligned with best practices in community care environments. Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure medication administration, health monitoring, and safety protocols are maintained consistently within the scope of resident engagement initiatives. Foster strong relationships with residents' families and guardians to ensure transparent communication about care plans and community events. Manage operational aspects related to resident activities, including budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and compliance with regulatory standards. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing resident feedback, conducting satisfaction surveys, and implementing innovative programs that enhance quality of life. Ensure staff receive ongoing training in dementia care, social work principles, medication management, and other relevant areas to maintain a high standard of service delivery. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align resident engagement efforts with overall community operations and strategic goals.

Qualifications

Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living/residential care facilities, nursing homes, retirement homes, or group homes with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Knowledge of assisted living regulations, long-term care standards, dementia care practices, Alzheimer's care techniques, and memory support strategies. Strong background in developing and managing care plans tailored to residents' unique needs involving social work principles and healthcare best practices. Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with residents' families while maintaining professional boundaries. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage residents effectively. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures related to senior health management.
