Job Description

Clemson Downs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to plan and implement a comprehensive activities program for residents in our long-term care community. The ideal candidate will promote resident engagement, psychosocial well-being, and quality of life through meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that meet regulatory standards and align with residents' individual interests and abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate a structured activities program that meets the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs of residents. Conduct and document activity assessments and care plan interventions in compliance with state regulations. Plan and facilitate group and individual activities, including recreational, social, cultural, and therapeutic programs. Coordinate special events, holiday programs, and community outings as appropriate. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident-centered care plans. Maintain accurate documentation, calendars, and participation records. Ensure compliance with all applicable long-term care regulations, policies, and safety standards. Foster positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy

or

Current Activities Professional Certification (e.g., NCCAP or equivalent). Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a healthcare setting preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team. Compassionate, creative, and resident-focused approach to care.
