About the Role:

Crimson Heights is seeking an experienced

Accounts Receivable Specialist

to manage billing, collections, and the full revenue cycle in a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with CentralReach, deep knowledge of insurance processes, and strong attention to detail to ensure accurate, timely payments and efficient cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage patient accounts, billing accuracy, and insurance claim submissions. Handle claim denials, rejections, appeals, and follow-ups with payers. Post payments, including ERAs and partial payments, and reconcile accounts. Oversee full revenue cycle management -- from CPT code scrubbing and claim submission to collections and clearinghouse management. Review and manage A/R aging reports to reduce outstanding balances. Set up and manage patient payment plans, send invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts. Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing and insurance questions. Ensure compliance with healthcare and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).

6+ years of experience

in accounts receivable, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.

Proven experience managing over 100,000 billing lines per year in CentralReach.

Expertise in

A/R, aging reports, patient balances, and full revenue cycle management.

Strong skills in

CPT code scrubbing, claim submissions, denials management, payment posting, partial payments, ERAs, collections, and clearinghouse management.

Knowledge of ABA and behavioral health billing processes. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. High attention to detail and confidentiality.
