AR Coordinator-AR Variance


As a Revenue Cycle Variance Analyst Coordinator, you are the expert in the Daily Receivable processes for the company and communicate with admin when systems and timelines are not followed. Work closely with Heartland Dental's supported offices and field administration offering guidance on steps to resolve outstanding payment issues to assist in growing knowledge of daily receivable systems and efficiencies.

To give you an idea of the team structure, you will work independenlty but also with other members of the Revenue Cycle Variance Analyst Team, the Revenue Accounting Team, the Accounts Receivable Representativs Team, Revenue Cycle Tech Manages and Dental Offices. This position will report to the Revenue Cycle Manager.


Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

Assist Revenue Accounting with a wide variety of revenue matters relating to insurance & patient collections as well as Dentrix/banking discrepancies. Compile banking deposit information for electronic payments on a weekly basis. Research any insurance and patient payment discrepancies. Effectively navigate insurance websites for necessary documents to resolve discrepencies. Post payments to balance out any outstanding deposits. Post adjustments as needed to correct patient ledgers. Must communicate and follow up effectively and timely with supported offices. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with supported offices and field operation, partnering as needed to resolve collection issues.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook Excel and PowerPoint. Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks, deadline driven Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to answer telephone calls and communicate information to callers Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks Self-starter and able to complete tasks without supervision High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment Analytical problem solver Strategic thinker who is comfortable making decisions Practical knowledge of Dental or Medical Insurance and/or Accounts Receivable

Desirable Qualifications:



Experience with insurance billing and/or revenue functions preferably in a healthcare setting Basic accounting knowledge
