Position Summary

• Maintain bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Communicate with previous clients and customers to request payment and arrange payment plans
• Collect payment from customers and accurately record it into the system
• Create reports and balance sheets that document overall profits and losses
• Update client accounts based on payment or contact information
• Follow-up on credits due from vendors.
• Maintain permanent vendor files (credit applications, terms, etc).
• Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.
• Sale & Use tax experience preferred
• Assist reconciliation of AP statements from vendors monthly
• Other tasks as assigned

Additional Qualifications

• Microsoft Office Suite (excel heavy)
• Microsoft Project
• Administrative experience in construction industry
• Problem sensitivity- The ability to identify when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, and bringing the problem to the attention of all who can assist in its being solved.
• Learn and implement LEAN and 5S principles and theories.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous Accounting Experience Required
• Experience with Construction Billing and AIA Documents a plus
• Prior Experience in Accounts Receivable preferred
• Regular, predictable and punctual attendance
