Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist ensures timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting is a must. Recent graduates with a Bachelor's degree in accounting are encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

In office position - Not a remote position

Salary:

$22-$25 per hour

Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in a dedicated accounts payable position preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be proficient on a computer and technologically savvy Must be able to work in a fast paced environment

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will excel in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment. We are looking for a confident, outgoing individual with excellent organizational skills and experience in a shared email box and a paperless system. Must be comfortable with computers and technology of all kinds and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. This is not a data entry only position, it requires multi-tasking, prioritizing and general ledger knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and enter vendor invoices for payment Review amounts invoiced with predetermined estimates Acquire necessary approvals Research and resolve variances Processes vendor checks weekly, manual checks as required Ensures vendor accounts are properly set up and maintained in accounting software Demonstrates familiarity and accuracy in assigning general ledger accounts when entering invoices
Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred
