At Syringa Property Management you will be working with a small helpful accounting team.
Responsibilities:
Requires tech saavy person to use our 3 software programs
Review and verify invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
Process invoices for payment, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained
Monitor and reconcile vendor accounts to ensure timely payment and resolve any discrepancies or issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions
Prepare and process payments, including checks and ACH transactions
Communicate with vendors, accountants, and managers to resolve issues and answer questions
Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices
Requirements:
Associate degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. MRI, AvidXchange)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Understanding of basic accounting principles and regulations
35 hour work week with full time benefits.
We work in an environment that has some different regulatory rules, laws, or requirements for Affordable Housing that we must maintain compliance with. You should have a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles, solid familiarity with web-based applications, tools, and/or accounting services as well as the standard Microsoft office suite is highly preferred.
