About the Role:



We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely vendor payments, managing customer invoicing, and supporting the company's overall financial health. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities



Accounts Payable (AP):



Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices for approval and payment. Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve any discrepancies. Schedule and process payments while maintaining positive vendor relationships.

Accounts Receivable (AR):



Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly. Apply payments accurately and monitor accounts receivable aging reports. Follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.

Daily Bank Reconciliations:



Reconcile all bank transactions with the general ledger daily. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Monitor cash flow and update balances for management review.

General Ledger (GL) Accuracy:



Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation. Ensure accurate classification of expenses across departments or projects. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, correcting inconsistencies as needed.

Reporting & Communication:



Prepare daily and weekly financial summaries for internal stakeholders. Collaborate with department heads to clarify budgets, spending, and financial variances.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 2-4 years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting roles. Proficiency with accounting software, Sage 50 preferred, but not required. Strong Excel skills and attention to numerical accuracy. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
