This position is a hybrid position; it will require ~1 day onsite a week in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

Overview

Myriad Genetics, Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and self-directed full-time AP Accountant who will be responsible for various payables activities within the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for processing AP invoices
• Help ensure compliance with company purchasing policy & PO process
• Assists in payment processing by preparing checks, wire transfers, ACH and SUA credit card payments
• Assist in month end closing
• Responsible for company T&E processing in compliance with corporate policy
• Investigates and reconciles discrepancies or unusual items
• Monitors and maintains bank balances
• Communicates with internal personnel regarding expenditure questions
• Corresponds with vendors via phone or email regarding questions
• Assists in preparation of 1099 forms
• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned
• Main backup for all aspects of AP processes, including International AP operations

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting or at least three-year high volume AP experience required
• Must have superior professional office demeanor and good organizational skills to maintain financial records and correspondence
• Must be able to follow established policies and procedures to complete assignments with a high level of accuracy
• Must be motivated, self-directed, and responsible for meeting deadlines
• Experience with the use of Microsoft Office Products (specifically Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Accounting ERP system knowledge and experience (Oracle experience a plus)

Physical & Lifting Requirements

• Lifting Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Physical Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 stationary positioning, moving, operating, ascending/descending, communicating and observing.
• Use of equipment and tools necessary to perform essential job functions.
