Overview:
The Accounting & Technology Manager at the Eugene Family YMCA intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that is welcoming, genuine, hopeful, nurturing, and determined. This particular job-share position will rely heavily on effective time management skills in coordinating and responding to key financial and administrative tasks along with Healthy Living initiatives. The staff member in this role must maintain exceptional professionalism, confidentiality and consistently pursue strategies for ensuring fiscally sound best practices. This person will serve as a liaison between the Y and its outside accounting firm and be a point of contact as needed for on-site staff with accounting or technology needs.
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Responsibilities:

Essential Functions for Accounting & Technology

• Attention to detail with demonstrated skills in planning and time management; must work autonomously and display independent work proficiency, flexibility and dependability; exercise sound judgment with the ability to make timely decisions without supervision
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines; willingness to work enthusiastically under fluctuating priorities and have the ability to focus and return to tasks and projects with frequent interruptions
• Must have strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills and be sensitive, adaptable, professional and articulate when dealing with others
• A high degree of computer proficiency is required due to the expansive level of platforms the position interacts with; these include the Ys accounting platform, Client Relationship Management (CRM), Google Suite and the Microsoft Suite
• Serves as liaison to the Ys accounting firm for general Account Receivable/Payable information
• Submits invoices to bill.com to ensure timely payment for Accounts Payable; monitors proper GL coding as needed
• Serves as a resource person to all personnel in matters relating to cash accounting, reversal of payments and refunds, and potential manual check printing
• Reconciles daily cash receipts, refunds and makes weekly bank deposits; reviews and follows up on returned checks and bank drafts
• Manages collections function; works with Program Directors on a quarterly and annual basis to review and resolve outstanding collections for their departments
• Prepares, tracks and reconciles DHS Child Care Tuition Reimbursement in accordance with State policies
• Reviews and awards Financial Assistance in a timely manner for all programs
• Assists in preparation of financial reports as requested
• Works with the CEO and various Y leaders to review, update and/or develop internal policies and procedures in a variety of financial, technology and operational areas
• Liaison between the Y and the Y's outsourced IT company; coordinates with leadership and IT company on larger projects across the association; resolves basic technical support issues for staff and manages support tickets for more complex issues
• Handle confidential and security information in regards to technology needs and requests
• Coordinates specific IT training with the Ys outsourced IT consultant
• Coordinates help tickets and ongoing service of various internal technology tools, such as the Ys surveillance cameras, postage machine and copy machines
• Maintain good working relationships with auditors, bankers, vendors and other professional advisors
• Responsible for coordinating the details of PCI compliance with the Ys PCI compliance vendor
• Work closely with Leadership Team members to support the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) database needs and changes in procedures
• Reviews monthly bank statements
• Evaluate pricing and ordering of office supplies
• Responsible for Merchant Services credit card dispute resolutions
• Participates in various standing committees and temporary task forces as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Requires two years of formal training beyond high school plus three and a half years of related work experience
• Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations
• The demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and possess excellent interpersonal skills; proven supervisory/management skills
• Ability to obtain CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED and First Aid
• Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, complete other online and in-person training as required

Posted Salary Range: USD $42,056.00 - USD $63,084.00 /Yr.
