The Child Support Services Division (CSSD) assists families by collecting money for the purpose of providing financial support to cover a child\xe2\x80\x99s basic needs. This position works hard to ensure the money collected is assigned accurately and distributed timely. The ideal candidate should be committed to supporting the goals of CSSD and the livelihood of all children that are a part of our program. This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the functional area related to child support debt for the five CSSD regional offices.

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2023, and July 1, 2024.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of standard accounting concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Highly developed communication skills; possess negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • One year of job-related experience working with people in child support, auditing, and accounting.
  • Other combinations of directly related education and experience maybe considered on a case-by-case basis.
