The Accounting Specialist position performs a range of general clerical and administrative support functions for Edge Eyewear's Accounting department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute independently all collections activities, calls, emails and notices according to policy timelines. Meet daily, weekly and Monthly call goals and KPI's as established by the Controller
Process ACH, EFT, Wire, credit card & Check deposits daily; Process credit card payments for current and past due accounts
Process all daily A/R invoices
Back up for Helpdesk Ticket processing for RGA's & defectives
Monitor and answer all assigned Accounting emails. Distribute and forward copies to correct parties as needed. Elevate issues as necessary.
Resolve accounts and seek justification for chargebacks, debit memos, disputes and deductions; Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Maintain filing systems and organization of paperwork as needed
Scan and attach documents as needed to transactions in Odoo
Post office run Monday - Friday; Distribute mail as needed
Assess and release Credit Holds, Credit Watch and Credit Card orders.
Other data entry and projects for Accounting as needed
About You:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3-5 years' experience in accounting and administrative support
Knowledge of websites and ability to follow instructions for multiple platforms
MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
* Complete understanding of Odoo helpful
