Summary/Objective
The Accounting Specialist I manages the credit hold list for customer orders and all related communication. This role requires judgmental decision-making skills as well as excellent customer service skills.
Essential Functions:

1. Perform credit reviews and approvals for existing customers
2. Analyze reasons for credit holds
3. Monitor accounts for past due balances and credit limit compliance
4. Assist with the negotiation, documentation, and resolution of customer interactions
5. Clearly communicate payment requirements and process upon receipt
6. Handle customer emails and phone calls
7. Perform other responsibilities and projects as assigned
8. Serve as a "back-up" for other accounting functions
