We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated

Accounting Specialist

to join our collections law firm. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including posting consumer payments, reconciling bank accounts, processing invoices, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Post payments to consumer accounts with accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies. Process invoices and ensure vendor payments are completed promptly. Maintain accurate data entry of financial transactions. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with vendors regarding accounting issues. Support additional accounting projects and special assignments as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a law firm or collections environment. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
