As the Accounting Manager \xe2\x80\x93 (Corporate Accounting) In partnership and under general supervision of your Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the most complex accounting and analysis activities related to overall general ledger of the company. This role requires a highly developed systematic and analytical skill set, combined with a strong accounting foundation.

A day in the life\xe2\x80\xa6

  • As an individual contributing manager, you will be the most senior team member reporting to the Senior manager in the Corporate Accounting team and working together to improve financial accuracy and overall efficiency of the closing process.
  • Assist the Senior Manager in review of the journal entries and balance sheet reconciliation as applicable.
  • Contribute to and improve month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financial results in compliance with GAAP and accounting policies.
  • Perform the GAAP research and introduce an appropriate accounting process to ensure compliance with the GAAP.
  • Accurately analyze, report on and reconcile balance sheet accounts, summarize activity, resolve reconciling differences appropriately
  • Accurately analyze and report on the income statement results across business units within the company.
  • Analyze and record judgmental reserves and accruals related to excess and obsolete inventory, bonus, tax allowance reserve, loyalty, etc.
  • Critically review and accurately record transactions into the general ledger, including understanding upstream systems, business processes and interfaces/feeds, and required GAAP adjustments
  • Support planning and forecasting processes, and understand the Balance Sheet, P&L and cash flow statement impacts of account activity, including classifications of financial statement line items
  • Able to analyze and articulate business performance and financial drivers.
  • Recommend and independently drive improvements to consolidation and general ledger systems and upstream business processes
  • Assist in quarterly and annual external audit and internal requests.
  • Work with the external reporting team in assisting on deliverables required for SEC reporting.
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and support broader ongoing strategies as the financial statement requirement changes.

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel and Tableau expertise
Desired Skills and Experience
  • CPA and public accounting experience
  • Systematic skill set and desire to lead and participate in automation projects.
  • Experience with Oracle General Ledger and Retail Merchandising System
  • Experience with SQL and database fundamentals

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

California: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Colorado: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Nevada: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, New York: $80,000 - $155,000 annually, Rhode Island: $80,000 - $132,000 annually, Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annually
