I'm partnered with the CFO at a rapidly-growing, mid-sized organization in the food manufacturing industry that values precision and excellence in its financial operations. Located near Elmhurst, IL, our client is looking to add on strong accounting and finance professionals to leave a lasting impact on how the corporate team operates.
The Accounting Manager will oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards within the food manufacturing industry. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the accounting and finance department and build out processes.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls.
• Support external audits by preparing documentation and addressing queries.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Work closely with the finance team to align reporting processes with organizational objectives.

Rapidly growing food manufacturer and opportunity to build out a team!Hybrid working structure (2 days work from home)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Proven experience in accounting and cost accounting, within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables + vlookups)
• Proficiency in accounting software (Experience within SAPS4Hana a plus)

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
