Job Description

Are you Concraft is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy. Our ideal candidate has 2-5+ years of accounting experience supporting construction or restoration projects, with some supervisory experience. They should be comfortable managing job costing, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing, and project-based financial tracking while maintaining accurate records and compliant internal controls.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, job costing, and general ledger management.
  • Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings with accurate financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
  • Manage cash flow, banking activities, and reconciliation processes.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate job costing, billing, and documentation.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally within the construction, restoration, or other project-driven industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing, and project-based accounting processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Experience with accounting software (Sage 100 Contractor preferred); familiarity with industry tools such as DASH, Xactimate, or Encircle is a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines.
