General Description
The Accounting Clerk is primarily responsible for the set-up and processing of customer and vendor accounts.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Customer creation and maintenance
Vendor creation and maintenance
Customer credit applications
Vendor's Bank information verification via Phone (for ACH payments)
W-9 Report for weekly payment run
Weekly A/R Aging Report
Monthly customer statements
Any special projects assigned
Handle customer phone calls, requests for tickets.
Any special projects assigned.
Authorities
The Accounting Clerk will have full authority to perform their duties; however, they must consult with the Division Controller/Accounting Supervisor for the following matters:
When things vary from the normal processes
When any problems occur
Any threat of litigation or situations which may lead to litigation
Any matter which may affect the interest of the Company
Non-compliance with reporting requirements to regulatory authorities
Skills/Attributes/Knowledge
Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with Managers and fellow employees.
Proficient computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
Knowledge of journal entries a plus
Ability to analyze information
Ability to handle large volumes of work
+ Understands deadlines

Education and Experience
This position can be an entry-level job.
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Experience with SAP software is preferred, but not required
2+ years accounting experience is preferred, but not required

Infrequent ability to lift general office documents and materials, up to 10 pounds;
