Job Description

The Accounting Specialist will maintain financial records, run reports for management, and record a wide range of financial transactions. They will offer administrative and bookkeeping assistance to accountants, prepare financial statements, and confirm the accuracy of accounting information. Accounting Clerk entails prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Essential Functions



Receive and record vouchers, cash, and checks.

Enter debits and credits into software applications and databases accurately.

Produce a variety of reports including income statements and balance sheets.

Check for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.

Use bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets, and software daily.

Reconcile and report any discrepancies found in the records.

Other duties as assigned.

Role Requirements



High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years accounting experience

Integrity - information should be used appropriately and kept confidential.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and bookkeeping software

Math skills

Detail oriented
