Accounting Clerk, AP/AR

to join the team. This position compiles, classifies, records, verifies, and maintains data and payments records. Must have the ability to timely and accurately perform various AP/AR functions using computer software. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to investigate and resolve AP/AR issues as they arise. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

Responsibilities

Prepares, sorts, copies, files, checks, correspondence, and other requested items. Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment. Prepares accounts payable checks. Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills. Answers accounts payable and receivable inquiries and follows up. Assists with related special projects, as required. Audits freight bills against freight manifests. Monitors accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Assist in monthly and annual closings. Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time Other duties may be assigned as needed

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay: From $21.65 per hour
