Accounting and Finance Controller
General Summary: We are looking for an Accounting and Finance Controller for our Leather Warehouse facility in Hickory, NC that will oversee the Warehouse, Accounting, Finance and Administration team, create forecasting reports, manage an P&L and support the Hickory Leather Warehouse and it's partners. This person will be responsible for the accounting and financial controls/reports, collaborate with our foreign controller/accounting teams in Brazil on reporting and controls within the warehouse.
Responsibilities:

• Full ownership of P&L, presenting P&L performance to leadership.
• Manage financial modeling and scenario planning to support P&L strategy.
• Leads analysis of the business to ensure revenue and cost reduction improvements.
• Make data-driven decisions to improve profitability and reduce excessive expenses.
• Collaborate with Brazil accounting/finance and controller teams on forecasting, data analysis and operational costs.
• Manages a staff of support team members to ensure financial operations area is efficient and financial data and reporting is accurate and timely.
• Leads the annual budgeting and strategic planning exercises to develop plans for the upcoming year.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings in accordance with US GAA
• Explain variances to budget and prior year figures, identifying and addressing gaps.
• Control and report all expenses that occur within the warehouse operations.
• Oversee the warehouse administration team and guide them in their daily functions.
• Be responsive to changes in procurement, adjust daily reporting accordingly.
• Ensure team members are kept up to date on policies and procedures within the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Business Administration strongly preferred
• Experience in supply chain, warehouse management and/or inventory controls preferred
• Extensive experience in Microsoft Excel required
• 3+ years of experience managing full P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting required.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on financial statements and KPIs.
• Experience in developing and executing business plans that align with P&L goals.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve financial targets and improve operational efficiency.
• Experience in SAP preferred
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial statement structure, and general ledger accounts preferred.
• Management experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and pivot quickly from task to task
• Strong communication skills-verbal and written across various businesses, countries/time zones.
• Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $80,000-$90,000,
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
