Job Title: Accountant I (Entry Level)

Department: Finance

Reports To: CFO

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hours: Full-time

SUMMARY

The accountant is a member of the Finance team. This position assists the CFO with the financial responsibilities of the organization and provides administrative, accounting, and reporting assistance to the Finance department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist CFO with the financial responsibilities of the organization.
• Assist in the monthly financial closing process and reporting.
• Record journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
• Assist with biweekly payroll preparation & admin filing.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Posting deposits and General Ledger detail.
• Grant Tracking and reporting.
• Special projects and all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Recent College Graduate
• AA Degree in Accounting or Office/Business Administration.
• Experience with Paycor and Black Baud Financial Edge a plus.

• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency; Powerpoint a plus.
• Ability to calculate basic budgets, with understanding of administrative costs needed.
• Must have excellent writing skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to meet all deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work projects.
• Must possess valid Florida driver\'s license and personal reliable transportation.

• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
• Works in office setting.
