The Impact You'll Make

As our Accountant, you are the engine behind our financial accuracy. Your day-to-day will focus on three key pillars:

1. Financial Integrity & Reporting

Own the month-end close process, including recurring/non-recurring journal entries and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly P&L statements and financial summary ratio reports for all departments and branches. Maintain the General Ledger and assist in crafting budgets and financial forecasts.

2. Operational Excellence

Manage General Excise Tax (GET) filings and compute annual import tax rates. Audit sales commission reports and serve as a resource for payroll procedures. Oversee address book accuracy within our JDE system for customers and vendors.

3. Strategic Support

Manage daily cash deposits and A/R files.

Who You Are

We are looking for a meticulous, numbers-driven professional who thrives in a multifaceted role. The ideal candidate isn't just an "office person" -- you are a problem solver who understands how financial data impacts real-world operations.

Your Professional Toolkit:

Experience: At least 2 years of formal accounting experience or a degree in Accounting/Finance. You should be comfortable with the "full cycle" of accounting, from journal entries to financial statements. Public accounting experience is always a plus. Technical Proficiency: You are a Power User in MS Excel (think VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables). Familiarity with JD Edwards (JDE) or similar large-scale ERP systems is a significant advantage. Regulatory Knowledge: A solid understanding of GAAP and, ideally, experience with Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET) or import/landed cost calculations. Communication Skills: You can translate complex financial data into clear updates for branch managers and maintain professional poise when discussing credit holds with customers. The "Accountant's Eye": You possess a high degree of accuracy and an obsession with the details--catching a mismatched decimal point is a point of pride for you.

Core Requirements:

Proven ability to handle confidential financial and payroll data with absolute discretion. Strong mathematical aptitude for complex reconciliations and ratio reporting. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage month-end deadlines without breaking a sweat.
