Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a degreed accountant, with two or more years' experience in auditing financial statements. CPA designation is preferred, but not absolutely necessary.
Duties
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Record journal entries accurately, maintaining double-entry bookkeeping principles. Contribute to financial report writing and interpretation for management review.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential. Knowledge of Quick Books is preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, technical accounting standards. Experience in diverse accounting areas including corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, or governmental accounting environments. Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, accrual accounting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation. Ability to interpret financial reports accurately and communicate findings effectively.
