Accountant
to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ General Ledger Management:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month- end closing procedures.
+ Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate billing, payments and collections.
+ Fixed Asset and Depreciation
- Assist in adherence to GAAP and internal policies on recording and reporting of fixed assets and depreciation
+ Audit Support:
- Assist in preparing for the annual review, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
+ Compliance and Controls:
- Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
+ Continuous Improvement:
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements and skills:

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast paced- environment.
+ An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
+ Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP or similar) and proficient Microsoft Suite with Advanced Excel skills.
+ Detail - oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an accountant or similar role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.
Physical Demands:
Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.
Expected Hours of Work:
8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
