Position Overview

An international automotive parts manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Accountant

to join its team. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience in

manufacturing or industrial companies

, and proficiency in handling transactions in Japanese Yen (JPY). This role will be critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. Oversee cost accounting and inventory management specific to manufacturing/industrial operations. Handle foreign currency transactions, with a focus on JPY, including exchange rate adjustments and reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field).

Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial company. Strong knowledge of JPY transactions and foreign currency accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems). Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
