Accountant

Duties:

-Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.-Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting, and auditing.
-Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews, resolving problems, and identifying system improvements.
-Approves cash disbursements by verifying check amounts against invoices, and authorizing checks and wire transfers.
-Supports annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors.
-Meets accounting financial standards by providing accounting department annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
-Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company's targets.
-Coordinate and assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
-Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities for the accounting team.

Accountant Skills:

-Must have a bachelor's degree or higher
-Must have 3 years of accounting experience
-Must have experience preparing monthly and annual financial statements
-Must have AP, AR, and GL experience
-Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
-Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

-While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20 pounds, lift in excess of 20 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
