We are currently seeking a driven and client-focused
Account Manager
to manage and grow key accounts, develop new business opportunities, and drive sales of HVAC systems, services, plumbing, and solutions. Candidate will be responsible not only for developing and closing sales opportunities but also for managing those projects through completion. Coordinating with internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HVAC systems, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing commercial and industrial HVAC clients.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and proactively pursue new sales leads.
Develop comprehensive proposals, cost estimates, and presentations tailored to client goals and building systems.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets aligned with company growth goals.
Promote and sell HVAC equipment, controls, retrofit solutions, plumbing, and service maintenance contracts.
Conduct client site visits to evaluate system performance and recommend solutions for replacements or upgrades.
Manage projects from inception to completion, including vendor coordination, scheduling with dispatch, client satisfaction and financial oversight.
Work with vendors and suppliers to procure equipment and materials within project timelines.
Act as the client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, handling change orders, updates, and issue resolution.
Ensure all documentation (submittals, approvals, close-out packages) is accurate and submitted on schedule.
Maintain compliance with HFI's safety, quality, and operational procedures throughout the project life.
Strong team leadership and communication skills to coordinate between field techs, vendors, and office staff.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on industry standards, energy efficiency programs, and HVAC products.
Use CRM tool to track leads, sales activities, and client information.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of proven success in HVAC sales, mechanical systems, plumbing, or commercial contracting.
Strong technical knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical equipment.
Proactive approach to client engagement and a passion for delivering client value.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and project drawings.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally.
