Nature of Work in this Position: The primary responsibility of this position is to market StayWell health plans for the successful acquisition of new business; maintain existing business relationships; and provide high quality service consistent with the StayWell mission, vision, and values.

Illustrative Examples of Work:

Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective clients. Attract new business by identifying opportunities in the local market. Build relationships with new clients. Formulate sales strategies and communicate product value to clients. Actively generate new leads through cold calling and networking, check in with former clients, and schedule meetings with potential clients. Meet and maintain performance goal quotas for lead generation (client calls) and CRM activity. Gather group demographics and other pertinent information; obtain rates from underwriting/actuarial department and prepare accurate proposals. Explain various insurance policies and products to potential and existing clients; guides clients in selecting coverage to best meet their needs. Achieve sales targets for new business and renewals/retention of existing clients. Cultivate relationships with existing clients. Manage client inquiries and seek assistance from internal teams to resolve client issues. Gather feedback from clients or prospects and share with internal teams. Communicate clear expectations to the client regularly, professionally, and proactively. Communicate benefit changes/new products and promote them through regular visits and communication with clients. Conduct quarterly check-ins with existing clients. Deliver service beyond expectation by responding swiftly to queries and concerns from clients. Lead client activities including, but not limited to, monthly service activities, pre-renewal meetings, renewal of existing business, contracting, and open enrollment. Maintain a high degree of preparedness and professionalism, priority for accuracy, timeliness and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients. Keep up-to-date with current market conditions and competitors' products. Maintain current knowledge on insurance education and training. Conduct an annual study and comparative analysis of competing carriers, products, and services. Maintain accurate daily sales and account management activities on the company CRM. Represents company at trade association meetings, local organization chapters, and other related events to promote StayWell products, develop personal contacts, and networking to facilitate marketing opportunities. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of management. Performs related duties as required. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to represent the company professionally both in person and over the phone with a pleasant demeanor and customer service focus. Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, business environment Strong negotiation and closing skills Attention to detail and quality focused Must possess strong understanding of time management skills Motivated self-starter Ability to present before large groups

Minimum Experience and Training:



Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year previous sales experience; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); and Computer literate (Windows).

Pay: $12.53 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
