We are looking for an Account Director (AD)

to support Siemens' largest accounts in the Mid-Atlantic or Northeastern U.S. This is an outstanding opportunity to employ your proven electrical utility domain expertise in providing solutions while selling both software and energy automation equipment.


This is a remote position based in the Northeastern or Mid-Atlantic US.

You'll make an impact as you:




Identify, implement, and drive sales for your targeted accounts while reporting to the VP of Key Account Sales. Contribute to achieving yearly sales targets and overall success include: + Crafting and supporting account plans for your dedicated accounts--and driving go-to-market growth initiatives, sales strategies, and orders.
+ Cultivating CxO-level, VP, and Director relationships with target municipalities and investor-owned utilities while clearly communicating Siemens' vision, value proposition, and key differentiators.
+ Achieving strategic corporate initiatives for sales priorities, growth, and culture.
+ Driving the launch/roll-out of new offerings and commercial models.
+ Helping clients build cases for funding requests.
+ Providing weekly updates regarding forecast, funnel, initiatives, and key opportunities.
+ Representing the enterprise utility team in other essential functions, such as: product management, bid management, marketing, engineering, customer support, and solution delivery.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:




Basic qualifications:


Extensive experience selling grid software to energy utility customers, with proven skills in: + Managing, analyzing, and winning complex bids
+ Negotiating contract renewals and managing conflict
+ Creating and executing sales campaigns

Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate multiple internal product teams to customize solutions for your customers. Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization--including director/VP and C-Suite--in proficient English. Proven track record of account management, including accurate sales forecasting, sales process management, and successful attainment of quota across multiple product lines. Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for a STEM or business focus. Ability to travel up to 30%. Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Preferred qualifications:


Experience with MEDDICC and/or Challenger selling. Experience in On-Prem and Cloud-Based Solutions Proficiency with Salesforce and Revegy preferred Knowledge of electric power distribution networks

The pay range for this position is $91,463 - $188,006 annually plus an uncapped commission structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
