Job Description

Core Diagnostic Laboratories is hiring for an overnight Accessioning Specialist at our facility in Birmingham, Alabama!

This position will focus on providing manual and electronic data entry support for laboratory and office staff to ensure smooth work flow for the entire laboratory. Must work quickly and accurately with various computer programs. Medical accessioning experience or medical office experience is preferred.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED Associates or Bachelor's degree is a plus Minimum 1 year of relevant experience; preferably in a clinical laboratory Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures is preferred Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities:

Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to ensure proper documentation of patient information Accession specimens by verifying patient information, labeling samples, and entering data into the system Utilize medical terminology and laboratory procedures knowledge to maintain accurate records Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of samples Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment

11:00pm to 7:30am

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
