LOCATION




This position is fully on-site and requires a regular presence in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position.


JOB SUMMARY




The Academic Records and Registration Specialist will support the Registrar's Office with registration, and document management for academic records, and will serve as the primary point of communication with student requests. The Specialist will assist in the building of class lists, rosters, and generate related reports for internal constituents.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Sorts and supervises the sorting of incoming documents for student records. Accurately indexes imaged items for student records. Processes student requests such as transcripts, letters of standing, enrollment verifications, licensure inquiries. Enter final grades and support the faculty grade change process. Supports departmental email communications and ticketing system. Serve on committees as directed by the supervisor. Support the Registrar with recommendations, development, and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures within the Registrar's Office and participate in departmental goals and objectives. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.

Education and Experience




Minimum Qualifications



High school diploma. Ability to maintain confidential records. Experience in academic record-keeping or record-keeping in a similar setting.

Preferred Qualifications



Associate's Degree. Previous experience at a Health Professions College or University. Previous experience working with privacy laws. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations including FERPA Knowledge of College Policy and Procedures Demonstrated knowledge of modern electronic student record storage and delivery systems

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities



Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all federal and state regulations and statutes. Demonstrate time management skills and organizational skills. Ability to problem-solve. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include, but not limited to pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboards, telephone, etc. May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices, conference rooms, and on occasion, to off-campus sites to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc. May require significant travel or work away from campus. Requires attendance at events representing ACHE both within as well as outside of the college setting. Frequently required to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations. Frequently required to see for purposes of reading material. Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels. Occasionally required to lift items up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to operate office and presentation equipment.
