POSITION SUMMARY




Responsible for administrative tasks in support of department chairs and faculty members in the departments of Psychological Sciences, Sociology/Criminology, and Journalism/Mass Communication.


Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




Assist department chairs and faculty members with a variety of administrative duties, such as the following :

Scheduling, ordering, and managing ADA accommodations for students taking nationally standardized exams. Scheduling dates/times, space, catering, and renumeration for visiting speakers. Completing and processing routine academic forms. Maintaining spreadsheets tracking departmental data. Identifying students who are eligible for honor societies and other awards and assist with processing applications and awards. Assisting with preparation of annual departmental reports. Communicating with service-learning partners. Ordering of routine supplies. Providing general clerical support to all faculty members across the three departments. Other duties as assigned.

Education




High school diploma or equivalent required, a bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent education / experience will be considered

Experience




Successful applicants will be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite. Preference will be given to those with previous administrative/clerical experience.
