Academic Advisor

This is a

part-time

position supporting university advising processes by providing degree plan guidance to an assigned caseload of student advisees. This person will support student success through individualized advising and outreach.

Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:

Provide individual academic advising sessions to degree and non-degree seeking students that are assigned to an advising caseload, Follow up the advising sessions and ensure students register in a timely manner each semester, Guide students on how to read and understand degree plans, Support the Office of Student Success and University advising and retention efforts Communicate with students and assist the Office of Student Success with processing administrative drops.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required Familiarity with the advising process preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications and instructional technology
