AKABA LLC. welcomes an enthusiastic professional to join our team as an ABA Therapist! ABA Therapists (or Behavior Techs) provide one to one Applied Behavioral Analysis services in the homes of clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. ABA is a scientific behavioral approach that uses strategies often perceived as play to reduce challenging behaviors and help build new responses and skill sets.

Job Type:
Part-time
Salary: $20 - $25 / hour Travel time Pay. Mileage reimbursement. Sic Time Free RBT training Online platform for ongoing self-paced learning
We offer on-going training and supervision to equip you in the field.
Hours: Sessions are usually weekdays during after school hours, but this is flexible and based on client assignment. Weekend shifts may also be available.
We welcome RBT applicants and can provide supervision opportunities for Career Advancement if you decide to or are considering pursuing the BCBA Credential.
Requirements for the ABA Therapist Role:

  • Experience working directly with children with disabilities (preferably Autism)
  • Knowledge of and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (usually between 3-8 pm)
  • You are timely and have reliable transportation.
  • You are organized and able to work independently.
  • You have a proven ability to listen and communicate effectively within a variety of situations.

Responsibilities of the ABA Therapist:
  • Work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Implement individualized behavior support plans and skill acquisition programs
  • Data collection within our Online Software
  • Working with families and our team for effective collaboration on client
  • Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Attending monthly case review meetings with your direct supervisor

Required education:
  • High school or equivalent

Required license or certification:
  • Drivers License

Required experience for an ABA Therapist:
  • Working with Kids or Teens: minimum 6 months
