Job Description

:

We are seeking another compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to provide ABA services one-on-one to young child, with a diagnosis of autism. This position requires an individual who is enthusiastic about making a positive impact in the life of a person with special needs and who is committed to implementing behavior interventions effectively.

Approximate Schedule Needed:

16 hours a week of services that will take place in the afternoon/evening and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) . Support a child with autism in developing functional life skills including increasing independence, self-occupancy, and adaptive skills across home and community settings, with a focus on promoting success in the least restrictive environment. Teaching communication skills, attending skills, and social skills. Collect and record data on the client's progress and behavior patterns during sessions as directed by the BCBA. Collaborate with the BCBA to adjust treatment plans and strategies as needed. Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding the client's progress and any relevant observations. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for the client during sessions.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred. Experience working with individuals with autism. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. Previous experience as a Behavior Technician is required Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping people thrive.
