St. Bernadette Parish School seeks an 8th grade homeroom and middle school literature and language arts teacher for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, with the opportunity to apply for renewal.
St. Bernadette Parish School, located in Burien, serves 190 students in grades Preschool - 8th grade. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for language arts and literature classes.
• Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, assessments, and reports.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom and middle school environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
• Incorporate technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student performance and attendance.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies.
• With the Administrative Team, organize graduation and ancillary end-of-year activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or license for middle school education.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level.
• Strong understanding of middle school English curriculum and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary range: $49,145- $74, 820
