Position: 5th or 6th Grade Science Teacher

Reports to: Assistant Principal

Salary Range: DOE

Minimum Qualifications Required:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor\'s Degree.
• Experience Required: Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Certification Required: Valid Louisiana teaching certificate preferred; if not, enrollment in alternate certification required.

Job Duties: * Teaches 5th or 6th Grade Science

• Plans, prepares and delivers instruction that engages students and provides academic growth.
• Ensures student growth and achievement in accordance with grade level.
• Models the Athlos culture.
• Responsible for tracking student attendance, behavioral issues and classroom events.
• Participates in regular professional development.
• Communicates with parent/guardians and the community professionally.
• Communicates regularly with school leadership and other faculty to maximize effective instructional activities.
• Participates in the school\'s professional learning community to enhance learning objectives.
• Meets professional obligations by honoring schedules and deadlines.
• Other assigned duties.
