We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and project scheduling, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Project Management
Evaluate plans and specifications for planning procedures, start and completion dates of all trades, and understand the scope of work required to successfully complete the project with minimum complications, on time, and within budget
Oversee and manage projects related to the preservation and restoration of historic buildings
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to preservation standards
Responsible for all phases of the project budget; Create a preliminary budget, defined through value engineering, and execute the final budget with the Owner Contract
Ensures Company policies are being adhered to and managed by Superintendent
Qualifies subcontractors and respective bids then delegates contract execution to Assistant Project Manager
Resolve worker complaints and grievances by administering solutions or reporting problems to the General Manager or Human Resources
Execute or delegate duties such as: creating/tracking and approving change orders, invoices, pay applications, timecards, material receipts, and relevant documents to be produced
Scheduling and Communications
Regularly communicates with the project team regarding project status
Facilitate weekly OAC meetings
Communicate RFI responses and ASI's to respective subcontractors and superintendent
Ensure the Superintendent completes daily logs of construction and weekly Look-ahead reports for proper schedule and equipment management
Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring forward problems to the Superintendent for immediate correction
Ensures a safe and hazard free worksite at all times; Continually strives for Zero Injury on project

Experience with AIA Contract Software a plus

Must understand project sequencing and scheduling of all trades.

Work Context
Position may be sedentary for 70% of time; remainder of time is spent traveling to jobsite for supervision or client meetings
Professional Office Environment
Education, Training and Experience
Bachelor's degree in construction management or relevant industry.
A Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction field is required
Special Requirements
A driver's License and clean driving record are required for the use of a company issued vehicle.
Proven experience in project management, particularly in historic preservation.
Strong understanding of the unique challenges associated with maintaining historic significance in construction projects.
Familiarity with relevant preservation laws, regulations, and best practices in the field.
Minimum of five years of hands-on experience or management of construction projects.
Ensure compliance with the Secretary of the Interior's standards and utilize preservation briefs to guide restoration processes.
Experience in Construction projects.
Strong understanding of historic preservation principles and practices.
